VistaJet leads major business jet industry revolution – One Sky, One Price
- Merger of three services areas to provide single transparent pricing model
- 25% reduction in prices for Program customers
- Actions meet customers’ requirements for luxury and guaranteed availability, who are increasingly cost sensitive
- VistaJet revenues grow 25 % in the first quarter of 2009
VistaJet, the world’s fastest growing private aviation company with the largest wholly-owned commercial fleet outside the Americas, is the first to merge its three service areas giving customers a transparent pricing model, owner and Chairman Thomas Flohr said today in Geneva.
Speaking at EBACE, the European Business Aviation Show, Mr Flohr said that the company’s innovative approach to changing industry standards was gaining attention from customers looking for luxury and guaranteed availability, who are increasingly sensitive about costs. He also used the show to announce a 25 per cent price reduction on all return flights for Program customers, with immediate effect.
VistaJet, which has its operations centre in Salzburg, Austria, saw a 25 per cent increase in revenue in the first quarter of 2009 compared to the same period in 2008. The company is taking delivery of seven aircraft in 2009, as planned, and will subsequently fly these throughout the three regions in its single service area, including Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
“The private business aviation market has contracted by 15 per cent largely due to the global economic slowdown, but VistaJet is in a strong position with the combination of the industry’s largest service area, competitive pricing for our Program customers and our unique business model.Merging our service areas into one is an industry first and will ensure we continue to move ahead of our competition when it comes to providing our customers with the flexibility and guaranteed availability they demand. One service area also gives our customers absolute price clarity and transparency. There are no positioning costs and customers only pay for the hours they actually fly. We’re on track to take delivery of seven new aircraft in 2009. This year we have focused on strengthening our position in key markets including the Middle East and Asia Pacific and to support this we are boosting our senior management team.”
