To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Midleton Distillery, Pernod Ricard orchestrated an exclusive, cross-category whiskey tour in the United Kingdom and Ireland, culminating in a special celebration at Midleton.
The tour commenced in London at the Tower of London and guided our esteemed clients through iconic locations, including Linn House and Strathisla in the north. This was followed by a visit to Scapa and concluded with a grand finale in Ireland to celebrate the Midleton anniversary.
On April 10, Midleton unveiled the last chapter of its Silent Distillery, joining forces with a globally renowned Irish celebrity to present a once-in-a-lifetime auction. This unique auction featured the complete Silent Distillery collection, with each bottle being the coveted number one in its series. Valued at an impressive USD 285,000, this collection was a true masterpiece for connoisseurs and collectors alike.
The auction was conducted by the esteemed Sotheby’s, ensuring a world-class event. All proceeds from this auction were generously donated to a charity chosen by our celebrity partner, making this an event with a heart.
Day 1 - Royal Salute – Tower of London
Guests immersed themselves in the ultimate whisky experience at Royal Salute’s exclusive brand home in the iconic Tower of London, enjoying unique behind-the-scenes access and witnessing history.
Day 2 - The Vault Experience at Strathisla Distillery & Royal Stay at Linn House
Traveling to Aberdeen, guests enjoyed the Vault Experience at Speyside’s iconic Strathisla Distillery. The Vault took whisky lovers through a sensory tasting journey, offering exclusive access to Chivas Brothers’ highly desired portfolio of whiskies.
Day 3 - Embrace the Orcadian Horizon at Scapa Noust
Pairing whisky, culinary wonders, and Orcadian tales for a day, guests dived deep, savored each moment, and let the spirit of the island of Orkney wash over them.
Day 4 – Warm Welcome of the Best Irish Hospitality
After bidding farewell to Orkney Island, guests traveled to Cork in Ireland. They enjoyed a restful day with a Michelin-starred dinner to prepare for the action-packed itinerary that followed.
Day 5 – Tour Finale Midleton Final Drops Event
Guests stepped back in time to the nineteenth century and uncovered the history of one of Ireland’s most revered distilleries, Midleton, for a unique anniversary celebration.
