VistaJet place $1.2B aircraft deal and acquire Bombardier Skyjet International
VistaJet Holding SA, headquartered in Switzerland and Europe’s fastest growing business jet company, announced today a firm order of 35 business jets from Bombardier Aerospace with an option for an additional 25 aircraft. The total value of the transaction is approximately $1.2 billion based upon current list prices, once all options are exercised. The firm order is comprised of 11 Challenger 605, 13 Learjet 60 XR and 11 of the newly introduced Learjet 85 aircraft. This is the second largest order of Bombardier business jets in history. In addition, VistaJet will acquire Bombardier Skyjet International, Bombardier’s pioneering charter program, which has operations in Farnborough, Dubai and Hong Kong.
The new aircraft order will triple the size of VistaJet’s existing fleet and, together with the acquisition of SkyJet International, will make VistaJet the second largest business aviation company outside of North America.
“The bulk order and the purchase of Bombardier Skyjet International are in line with our plans to be the leader in this industry and accelerate our global expansion… With Skyjet and VistaJet joining forces we aim to become the foremost business aviation company in Europe, Middle East and Asia, coupling pure luxury with affordability.”
Thomas Flohr, Founder and Chairman of VistaJet
According to Bing Chen, CEO, this is a significant milestone, heralding in a new era as VistaJet expands its business model worldwide.
“Our success is greatly helped by the popularity, reliability and proven performance of our Bombardier business aircraft, and as our business continues to expand globally, we are confident that our relationship with Bombardier will continue to grow and produce exceptional results.”
